The Baltimore Mural Project is sponsoring a mural installation depicting images from the historic Pennsylvania Avenue music and entertainment scene that was jumping around the 1940's 50's and 60's in Baltimore, Maryland. This rich epicenter of art and culture launched the careers of many artists and was the first stop on the Chitlin Circuit

Several noted figures are depicted along with a few venues that were instrumental in the success of the local music and entertainment industry along Pennsylvania Avenue. This mural was designed by Donald Tyson-Bey a.k.a. "Doc. Toonz".

The official unveiling of this mural will be MARCH 30TH 2009 and will include a special apperance by a historical figure from the mural.
