This Mural was created during an artist in residence program at
Dickey Hill Elementary School in Baltimore MD in 2008

  • The mural was created by students from the 5th grade class of 2008.
  • .The imagery for this mural was inspired and informed by a recent Upward Bound trip that the students had taken on the Appalachian Trail.
  • Artist in residence of this project was Dirk Joseph.
  • Resident school art teacher was Belinda Chance.
